This song was released in 2010 on an experimental label called solid state music lab. 
“Soild State Music Lab” was established by Takumi Koizumi, the manager of Nujabes, as a place to pursue more experimental music with the support of Nujabes. 
The label released the album “Freeform Breaks” which included “Thought…”. 

And this work is also the work that became the basis of the concept of Uyama Hiroto’s album “Freeform Jazz”, and the title “Freeform Jazz” was also inspired by “Freeform Breaks”. 
It is one of the indispensable works for roph recordings. 

Seietsu / Freeform Breaksのリマスターシングル第三弾はアルバムの顔ともなる曲「reconstruct-logy」をリリース。新たなサンプリングの解釈として非常に完成度の高い作品になっている。


Uyama Hiroto「Freeform Jazz」のリリースから7年。
歴史的作品が製作された起点ともいうべき作品「Freeform Breaks」がリマスターを経てroph recordingsより配信スタート

このアルバムの発端は tribe からリリースされた thought… / 情叉 / 美髯公の 7 インチである。
tribeのオーナーでありhydeout productionsの主宰であったnujabesと当時レーベルマネージャーを勤めていたroph recordingsのKoizumi Takumiによってより実験的な音楽としてリリースを計画。Seietsuとリリースを計画していく中でより純度の高い実験場を求めて”Solid State Music Lab”を設立、2010年にアルバムがリリースされた。
当時のBreak BeatsやHip Hopの音源としては類を見ない実験的な内容であり、またJAZZとしての解釈としては早すぎた作品である。この作品はUyama Hirotoの歴史的作品「Freeform Jazz」の構想の元となった作品でもあり、「Freeform Jazz」というタイトルもこの「Freeform Breaks」から着想を得てつけられている。
roph recordingsにとってはなくてはならない作品の一つである。
